Theresa May cabinet: Who is in the Cabinet NOW? - FULL LIST of MPs
THERESA May has had a tumultuous week since the announcement of her draft Brexit deal on Wednesday. So with resignations and reappointments, who is in the Cabinet now?
Brexit: Amber Rudd RETURNS to Theresa May's cabinet
The first to go on Thursday was, embarrassingly for Theresa May, Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab resigned, saying he couldn’t “in good conscience” support the draft deal. After him, Work and Pensions Secretary Esther McVey resigned, saying the deal “does not honour the result of the referendum.” Five other government members resigned on the same day.
Most recently, the role of Brexit Secretary has gone to Stephen Barclay, former Minister of State for Health and Social Care and MP for North East Cambridgeshire.
Environment Secretary Michael Gove declined Mrs May’s offer to take over as Brexit Secretary on Thursday - many expected him to resign, but he has hung on, saying he "absolutely" has confidence in Mrs May.
Former Home Secretary Amber Rudd - who resigned after the Windrush Scandal earlier this year - has accepted Esther McVey’s former role, returning to Cabinet as Work and Pensions Secretary.
