Billy the dog became the protagonist of some hilarious pictures after his head got stuck in a wall
The cheeky pet with a nose for trouble ended up sparking a full-scale fire rescue mission when he went exploring in the garden.
Firefighters had to come to the aid of Billy the grey-coated terrier after his curiosity left him looking like a member of the hole-in-the-wall gang.
Too keen to find out what was on the other side of trellis-style wall, Billy poked his head through the ornate brickwork and then found he was well and truly stuck.
Billy’s predicament meant a call out for the Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service to deal with one of their most unusual incidents this year.

Members of the service’s Green Watch attended Paget Road, Trumpington, and set about releasing Billy with tried and trusted methods honed over decades to extract adventurous children stuck between iron railings.
With some gentle persuasion, Billy was freed in a jiffy and reunited with his delighted owner.
The fire crew later posted pictures of Billy predicament on the fire service’s Facebook page.
Two of the images show Billy from different angles firmly trapped in the wall while the other has the dog and the delighted crew celebrating with the following caption: "Green Watch happy to help this poor chap who had his head caught in a wall, not sure he will be investigating the same hole again!"
