Adorable koala takes refuge in bedroom after being scared by yapping kelpie
The six-month-old youngster was crossing the two-acre property of Ron Snow, 76, and his wife Carol, 72, in Lismore, New South Wales, where the couple planted a coppice of eucalyptus trees to encourage the furry friends to visit.
But on Sunday afternoon one of their marsupial neighbours decided to go for a wander from one tree to another across the property.
The kelpie, named Millie
It went straight for the bedroom and teared the place up a bit
Fearing their kelpie Millie might spook the creature Mr Snow sprang into action and shepherded the koala towards the house.
As soon as it was inside the koala - which are famous for sleeping up to 20 hours a day to digest their food - made a beeline for the bedroom while Mr Snow put Millie in another room.
After taking a look around its new surroundings the koala made for the exit and found a place to go and snooze in another tree.

Miss Snow said: “Mum and dad planted eucalyptus trees around the property for the koalas and it's something of a corridor for them now to get around. You see them up there all the time.
“Millie wouldn't have hurt the koala, she probably would have just been curious but it was a young one so dad got it into the house while he got Millie out of the way.
“It went straight for the bedroom and teared the place up a bit, we think he was about six months old looking at him, because adults have bigger claws. Ron had a few scratches on his hands but both he and Millie were fine and the koala ended up safe back in a tree.”
