An animal sanctuary on the rock guitarist’s Surrey estate is now looking after the traumatised animal which was left with awful bite wounds.Daisy the roe deer had to be rescued after getting trapped in a small park in Uxbridge last month and was spotted throwing herself against fencing to escape.
But her ordeal was made all the more harrowing when she was chased by dogs and children.
Staff at Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue, which is supported by the rock star, explained how the musician had been upset about Daisy’s plight.
“People should respect wildlife and be ashamed of their behaviour,” said a member of the rescue team.
“Brian has seen Daisy and is appalled at the state of her and saddened that people would chase her with dogs or that children would tease her.
”The charity says Daisy is still in a critical condition and released pictures today showing her injuries.

Roe deer are not aggressive and will always flee
“She has these injuries from several dog bites and from running into fences when being chased,” says the charity.
“Her face is swollen and cut and she has a bad injury above her eye.
“Deer are inherently jittery after years of hunting them and once faced with danger will run for their life. In an enclosed space she would have been driven into fences by chasing dogs while being bitten. Her wounds are in keeping with these injuries.
“As a charity we are shocked by the state of this poor animal, people should respect wildlife and be ashamed of their behaviour.

”The charity is urging the public to keep away from deer if they are spotted in confined areas such as gardens or parks.
“Let an animal return to the space they came from,” it says.
