WATCH: Dog wanders hospital where owner died
A faithful dog is keeping a lonely vigil at the hospital where his owner died after surgery.
The black and white dog never left the hospital when his owner was admitted three months ago and now wanders the corridors in a forlorn hope of seeing his master again.
Hospital workers in San Antonio de Padua Hospital in Río Cuarto, Argentina, did not know the dog's real named so call him "Pirata" - Pirate in Spanish - because no matter how hard they tried to keep him away he always returns to the last place he sawe his owner - Room 404.
Pirata has become so well loved by doctors, nurses and visitors, he has become adopted as the hospital's unofficial mascot.
