'It blew the cobwebs out of me!' GIANT FIVE FOOT reptile climbs up side of house
A MONSTER lizard left a homeowner running in fear after he found it climbing up the side of his house.
The giant reptile had the 80-year-old hiding in his shed
Eric Holland, 80, said he hid in his shed after seeing the five foot goanna gripping on to the wall.
The pensioner, who later plucked up the courage to take a photo of the huge beast, said its claws were one a half inches long.
He first saw something scurrying across his back garden before it disappeared.

I just saw the claws on it and thought 'holy cow!
He then heard it when he was working in the shed.
He said: "I just saw the claws on it and thought 'holy cow!'
"It was a big surprise really.
"I sometimes get blue tongues and lizards in the backyard but never anything quite like this."
Mr Holland, from New South Wales in Australia, added: "I couldn't have been more shocked if a martian had landed.
"It blew the cobwebs out of me.

The reptiles usually shy away from humans
"He climbed up the bricks and got under the eve and his tail was twitching and hitting on the pipe.
"My yellow streak started to show and I jumped back in the shed."

After snapping the huge creature the photo ended up on social media and soon went viral.
The monster lizard is believed to be a native Australian lace monitor. They can bite and are also seen as dangerous because of their sharp claws.
However, they rarely confront people.
