Nuts to rain, I've got a brolly: Squirrel shelters from downpour with mini umbrella
THIS crafty squirrel looks perfectly prepared for a downpour.
The squirrel is lured into taking shelter under the mini umbrella
From this picture, it seems all set for a stroll armed with a tiny umbrella to shelter it from the elements.
But there is more to this picture than meets the eye.
It was set up by photographer Max Ellis to amuse his son Gulliver.
Max, 52, hung the umbrella from a fishing line in his garden in Teddington, south-west London, and coated its handle in sunflower seeds and peanut butter.
This one popped out and hung around exploring for about six minutes. As the rain got heavier he was able to shelter for a bit but eventually he headed off home.
Max said squirrels started to investigate almost at once.
He said: “This one popped out and hung around exploring for about six minutes.
“As the rain got heavier he was able to shelter for a bit but eventually he headed off home.”
