WATCH: Adorable moment a baby hippo takes her first swim outside
THIS is the adorable moment a baby hippo took her very first swim outside at a British zoo.
Holly, a baby common hippopotamus, enjoyed her debut dip last week, as well as exploring her paddock, sniffing at plants and eating some grass with her mother, Lola.
The cute creature was born on December 11 last year but has been staying warm inside and bonding with her family until now.
She is part of a conservation breeding programme at Whipsnade Zoo
Although Holly had the chance to try some small indoor pools through the winter and spring months, this was her very first swim outdoors.

In the clip she can can be seen edging towards the water while her mum watches as she munches on some grass.
Zookeeper Mark Holden said: "Hippo calves usually follow their mum's lead when it comes to first swims, but they don't usually have to wait quite so long.
"You could see it was worth the wait. She seemed to have a wonderful time splashing around in the sun.
"We're really pleased with Holly's first trip outdoors. She looked very inquisitive as she took in all the new sights and smells and was clearly enjoying exploring the paddock."
Holly has also had the chance to meet her extended family, including her grandparents, as hippopotami can live to 50 years old.
