Nordstrom Inc. announced that it will take no new items from the Ivanka Trump brand as of this season.
The Seattle-based company made a statement that they would drop Donald Trump's daughter's line, claiming that the decision was made on the grounds of sales.
“In this case, based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season,” the company said.
The huge brand, which owns Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom Restaurants, claimed this move is part of a wider company policy to cut 10 per cent of stock that is selling badly each year.

However, the brand has faced boycotts over stocking the brand.
The chain has been pinpointed by the politically motivated Grab Your Wallet campaign, which encourages anti-Trump Americans to vote with their hard-earned dollars and boycott any brands that put money in the President’s pocket.
The founder of the Grab Your Wallet campaign Shannon Coulter has said: “I am absolutely thrilled, and I know the vast majority of Grab Your Wallet participants will be as well.”
Nordstrom was one of the first places to pick up Ivanka’s brand.

Fortune reported that co-President Pete Nordstrom addressed the controversy in an e-mail to employees. He said concerns that customers might boycott the brand had reached him.
Opinion was split on the issue on Twitter, with some furious at the chain’s decision.
One wrote: “Add this to your boycott list folks.”
Another wrote of Nordstrom’s decision: “Time for me to dump my Nordstrom card & opt out of their email list.”

Others were elated at the idea. One said: “Feeling the true American spirit prevailing in little ways here and there.”
One more wrote: “Kudos to Nordstrom for doing this. The way to stop Trump clan is to take away the thing they care about: money.”
Ivanka owns a fashion label named after herself, which sells: “an assortment of chic, appropriately sexy and accessibly priced shoes and handbags,” according to the website.
With a designated style section, the site hopes to provide a whole lifestyle brand inspired by Ivanka.
Ivanka is described as a “passionate advocate for the education and empowerment of women and girls” on her website.
Plastic surgeon Dan Marsh, consultant plastic surgeon at The Plastic Surgery Group (www.danmarsh.co.uk) said: “It is my belief that Ivanka has clearly had a rhinoplasty as there is a scar visible across base of the nose on top picture.
“Judging by her straight, white teeth it also looks as though she has also had dental veneers.”
