What a wash-out: Girls at Investec Derby Festival Ladies' Day caught in HEAVY downpour
IT LOOKS like the Investec Derby Festival was a wash out, a real blow for the ladies in summer dresses.
The women arriving at the Investec Derby Festival Ladies' Day were met with rain today
It's the Investec Derby Festival Ladies' Day today but far from the glorious sun shining on the event, the weather has been battering the women in summer frocks.
With a plethora of pale yellows and coral pinks dotted around the racecourse, the women really went for the summer theme this year.
And they'd be forgiven for thinking today was going to be a nice day after yesterday's scorcher. But the women have been battered by rough winds and trying to save their hair with coats over their heads.
Two women were seen cowering beneath one jacket as they rushed their way through the admissions process and ran inside.

Open toe sandals, white dresses and flimsy hair pieces look like the order of the day at the fashion-forward event.
One young lady in a delightful coral dress and nude heels was pictured dashing through the rain desperately trying to get her fascinator out of the wet.
Despite the wash-out weather, the punters all seem to still have smiles plastered on their faces.
Is it a British trait to arrive at an event completely inappropriately dressed or are these young ladies just unfortunate victims of a wet June?

Another reveller was spotted with a white scarf over her head
One racer goer gave an update on the weather via their Twitter account, saying: "Thunderstorms with heavy rain in Epsom now."
Another hilariously added: "Shame about the rain over Epsom today, then again I not going! #NotInvited #InvestecDerby"
No doubt the young women have found a place to watch the race from inside to keep their barnet's dry.
Open toe sandals, white dresses and umbrellas do not mix well for these two struggling
