Steal Kate Middleton's style: £575 coffee-coloured Roksanda Ilincic dress in Uluru
THE Duchess of Cambridge opted for a simple stylish shift dress and heels - and the Middleton family crest, the acorn - for a trip to Ayers Rock, Australia, today. We show you how to get her look for less...
After a weekend of florals and bright colours, Kate Middleton made sure her outfit blended into the background at one of Australia's most impressive landscapes today.
Touching down at the red rock of Australia's sacred Uluru, Kate, 32, opted for a lilac-tinged coffee-coloured dress.
The knee-length number by London-based Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic was cut as a simple shift with some clever pleating at the neckline. A belt, a few shades lighter than the dress, cinched in at the waist.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked relaxed and happy in the lightweight outfit and had ditched her usual sheer flesh-coloured tights to go bare-legged.
And Kate is obviously a fan of the designer, as she's worn a dress similar to this Uluru number twice before.
She wore a dove grey version of the gown in LA on her inaugural tour of the US in July 2011 and again in July 2012 at the Creative Industries reception at the Royal Academy of Arts in London’s Piccadilly.
The dress, which features light loose-fitting capped sleeves and a ruched neckline with twist-detail on the right-hand shoulder, is very similar to the Lovina design which retails at £575.
Another Roksanda Ilincic dress that resembles this coffee gown is the Spacer Ivory Belted Wool Crepe Adler Dress, which is currently half price at £572.
Kate accessorised the elegant knee-length ensemble with her favoured pair of nude LK Bennett Sledge pumps, which retail at £195.
She also wore a stunning pair of double gold leaf earrings, £140, by artisan Catherine Zoraida, which were first seen during the 2012 Diamond Jubilee tour and again for the Queen’s pre-Christmas lunch in December of 2013.
She completed the earrings with a gold-charm-laden necklace. The miniature charms, which are part of the Asprey’s Woodland Collection, include a small gold acorn, £2,900, a mushroom, £3,900, and an oak leaf.
The acorn holds special significance as it is part of the Middleton family’s coat of arms.
Kate's ensemble perfectively coordinate with husband William's safari-style attire. The Duke wore a pair of cream chinos and a light khaki linen shirt, which was casually rolled up at the sleeves and unbuttoned at the collar.
It is the second time Kate has opted for a Roksanda Ilincic for the Royal tour. She also wore a bright yellow wool crepe dress with feature white panels by the designer on her arrival in Sydney.
