"Oli usually organises our anniversary holidays. A couple of years ago we went to a yoga retreat on a private island in Thailand. Every year Oli buys me a diary for our thoughts about the future and we write down things in it we want to do."
It was two years ago on their annual break that Tina had thoughts about leaving Holby.
"Oli and I spoke about it but it was only this year that it all fitted into place and I decided now is my time to go out there and experience new acting roles.
"I've played Chrissie all the way through my 30s and I want to see what the next 10 years hold.
I think a change is vital.
"Now I am going to take time to consider my next options. I have been blown away by all the lovely feedback that I've had and I've been to lots of meetings about various projects."
Although Tina might be leaving Holby her intention is not to be a stay-at-home mum.
"I would love to do some presenting," she says.
"My dream would be to present a documentary-style travel show. I have been asked to do Strictly Come Dancing twice but it's not for me. I am actually very shy and I'm not great at dancing so I wouldn't make for a great contestant.
"However I am a huge car fanatic and I bumped into Jeremy Clarkson the other week and we talked about me coming on Top Gear.
"It's my favourite TV show. Now I am leaving Holby, hopefully I will get a chance to do it.
"I have had some input into Chrissie's leaving story and it's exactly where I wanted her to be.
"She gets breast cancer but it is a very positive ending and they are not killing the character off, which I am really pleased about."
