Grand National 2019 sees awkward moment as six attendees wear same PrettyLittleThing dress
GRAND NATIONAL 2019 attendees were spotted looking very glamorous as they arrived for Ladies Day today. However, some fell victim to a rather awkward moment, when a number of attendees turned up in the exact same dress - which can be bought from UK online retailer PrettyLittleThing.
Grand National: Celebs arrive at Aintree for Ladies Day
The Grand National 2019 is well underway, with attendees arriving in their finest ensembles at Aintree today. The three-day Grand National Meeting kicked off yesterday, and today marked Ladies' Day. Often considered the “fun day” of the festival by some, many attendees were spotted stepping out for the event at Aintree Racecourse. The day itself sees a Style Award, which men and women can enter in the hopes of winning a huge prize.
A PrettyLittleThing dress proved to be popular at Aintree for the Grand National 2019
As such, there was plenty of focus on fashion at the races today.
And, it seems that there was a running theme when it came to the style stakes.
That’s because at least four women were spotted wearing the exact same white midi dress today - with another having worn it yesterday.
The clearly very popular item was from the fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing.
The dress itself, which sells for £70, had a plunging neckline and peplum style waist.
It also had extreme ruffling detailing at the shoulders and knees, as well as a fitted lace skirt.
“Get ready to win best dressed in this totally sophisticated dress,” the product description reads.
While it’s up to the judges as to who wins the Style Award, the amount of people donning the garment suggests it is a hit for many.
But, despite six people wearing the same number to Aintree this year, the large amount of attendees means that it would be unlikely that they’d all bump into each other.
What’s more, even if they did, the women had pulled off their own way of wearing it.
For instance, one woman had opted for a white fur-style wrap around her shoulders, as well as a white clutch bag and statement hat.
Meanwhile, another person carried a pale beige clutch bag, and had finished her look with an elegant beaded headband.
Another had opted for nude open toe high heels and an envelope clutch bag.
As well as silver jewellery, she accessorised the look with a floral-inspired hat.
Pictured yesterday, a third teamed the attention-commanding dress with a statement fascinator.
