Virgin Media appears to be down for broadband customers across the UK
Virgin Media broadband is experiencing problems in the UK tonight, according to reports from hundreds of users.
The hugely-successful ISP appears to be down for a number of users across the country.
Independent site Down Detector, which tracks outages via social media mentions, shows hundreds of people complaining about a Virgin Media outage.
The service has mapped out these mentions, showing a high percentage of problems in London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol and Barking, amongst others.
Despite the outage map showing large parts of the UK having issues Virgin Media says the problems are isolated to Glasgow.
A Virgin Media spokesperson said: “We are aware of an issue impacting broadband and TV services in Glasgow. We apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused and are working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
Hundreds of customers are complaining every minute about the problems
The latest wobble from Virgin Media comes five days after another reported outage nationwide.
The home broadband provider’s official Twitter account has said it is “aware of an issue and working to get this fixed for you as soon as possible”.
Express.co.uk has approached Virgin Media for comment on this story.
Virgin Media customers have flooded social media to complain about the problems.
