FACEBOOK is back up and running again after thousands of users across the world were reportedly left unable to access their social media accounts.

According to downdetector.com, users in parts of the US, Australia, the Philippines, Singapore, and other regions in Asia were unable to log in to their Facebook accounts.
The site went down at around 2.20am BST but appeared to be working again by 2.50am.
The social media giant has yet to issue a statement about what happened.

Users took to other social media sites to express their panic at not being able to access their Facebook accounts.
One user tweeted: “OMG!!! #facebook is down and I can't even get to Facebook to tell all my facebook friends that facebook is down!!”
Thousands of users were met by this message when trying to access their Facebook accounts
Another wrote: “#Facebook is down! Repent! REPENT!!!”
Even New South Wales Police department got involved in the uproar, tweeting: “We don't mean to alarm you but FACEBOOK IS DOWN!!! How will we know what you ate for lunch!?"
The news comes just days after millions of people were unable to access their WhatsApp accounts after the app went down in countries across the world.
