The new red iPhone is part of Apple’s 10-year-long partnership with the charity (RED).
Apple says every purchase of the red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will contribute to the “Global Fund to support HIV/AIDS programmes”.

CEO Tim Cook said: “Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
“The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (PRODUCT)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands.”
The red iPhone supports the HIV/AIDS prevention charity (Red)
What is (Red)?
U2 singer Bono launched the charity (RED) in 2006 in a bid to combat AIDS and HIV around the world.
Under the (PRODUCT)RED scheme, Apple launched several of its products in a deep red colour to support the charity.
Purchases of the new products will help fund HIV testing in sub-Saharan Africa.
The charity says up to 50 per cent of (PRODUCT)RED profits end up being spent on the fight against AIDS.
(RED) has so far raised over $465 million (£373 million) with the help of its partners.
When is the new red iPhone out?
The red iPhone will be available to purchase on Friday March 24.

The iPhone will only come in the 128GB and 256GB models, starting at £699 and £819 for the latter.
