WhatsApp update now lets users watch videos without downloading them
WHATSAPP users will no longer have to wait to start watching videos on the app thanks to this nifty new update.
Watching videos on WhatsApp just got a whole lot easier
WhatsApp users will now be able to enjoy more video content than ever thanks to a new update.
The popular messaging app, which has over a billion users worldwide, have revealed an upgrade that makes viewing videos on the site much easier than ever.
From today, WhatsApp users will be able to start watching videos received in a chat window before it has finished downloading.
Previously, users would need to wait until the download had completed to begin watching.
This brings WhatsApp up to speed with the likes of YouTube and other streaming services, which also let users start watching videos before they have completely downloaded.
The update only appears to work on Android devices at the moment, with other platforms such as iOS set to receive the upgrade within the next few days.

The news comes shortly after WhatsApp revealed a major update aimed at adding new features and improvements.
Last week, the app has confirmed that users across the globe will now be able to make video calls on their Android, iPhone or Windows devices – all for free.
Users simply need to open a chat and tap the existing call icon, where they will be given the choice of starting a voice call or video call - and that's all there is to it.
WhatsApp also recently introduced the ability to make voice calls for free
However WhatsApp customers will need to be aware that their calls will use up their data allowance, so they'll need to be sure they don't run up large data bills unexpectedly.
Last week, WhatsApp revealed it was also introducing two-factor authentication security for the app, making it safer and more secure to use.
2FA adds an extra level of security to an app or service by introducing two distinct methods of logging in to an account in order to ensure only the account holder can access it.
