Apple unveil new 27in iMac desktop and £399 Mac Mini and OS X Yosemite
APPLE have released their first update to the iMac desktop computer since 2011, which boasts a 27in retina display and costs a whopping £1,999.
The tech giant revealed their new products at a launch in California today, showing off the new iMac with a screen that they're calling the 'Retina 5K'.
First seen on the iPhone, ipad and MacBook Pro in 2012, the high resolution keeps the colour and visuals sharp on a machine that is also just 5mm thick.
Powered by a quad-core Intel Core processor, the top of the range model has a power of up to 4.0GHz with the Intel Core i7.
It is the fastest iMac yet, and was revealed next to the cheapest ever to be released by Apple.
Prices for the new Mac Mini start at just £399, with buyers guaranteed a 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB memory and a 500GB hard drive.
Apple's new Macs all come pre-loaded with OS X Yosemite, which is free to download and upgrade.
The new operating system boasts a host of new features but will need 2GB of RAM to run, along with 8GB of available storage.
