Outrage as Apple users complain new iPhone 6 BENDS in their pocket
APPLE fans have taken to Twitter to blast the brand new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus after claims the smartphone BENDS in their pocket.
The latest gadgets from the technology giant are thinner and lighter than ever and users have allegedly that has caused them to bend by accident.
Owners have claimed that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus bent in their pockets after they sat or down with them in their pockets.
Pictures have been posted on Twitter and Apple forums showing the smartphone bending by around 10 degrees at the front or rear of the phone.
A video posted by YouTube user Unbox Therapy claims the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus can be bent by applying substantial force by hand.
Dad has had his iPhone 6 for a day and already smashed it.
Apple have yet to comment on the allegations.
It comes as users have also complained about the phone's screen cracking just days after purchasing it.
The smartphone was launched last Friday to much fanfare with gadget geeks queuing outside stores overnight to get their hands on the product.
But owners have taken to social networking sites to post pictures of the phone's screen covered in cracks or completely shattered and vent their anger.
Libby Lucas posted on Twitter: "Dad has had his iPhone 6 for a day and already smashed it."
Regina Filange also tweeted: "My mum has just smashed her iPhone 6 that she got 2 days ago".
While Dillon Shoe wrote: "The iPhone 6 is cool but honestly why can't they just provide me with a screen that doesn't crack when dropped from 2 feet off the ground".
Drop tests had suggested the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus crack when the gadgets fall onto a hard surface with its screen facing down.
However, the device reportedly showed durability when it fell from its owner's grasp onto its edge.
Before the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were launched there were rumours Apple was manufacturing an unbreakable screen made from sapphire glass.
However, a source claimed that this material has not been used for the new smartphone.

Speaking to Time magazine, analyst Tim Bajarin said: "My sources tell me that sapphire was never targeted for the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus and its role in future iPhones hasn’t even been decided yet."
He said one of the main issues with the material is it heavily affects battery life, which already is a recurring complaint among iPhone owners.
