The summer season is off to a sizzler with two heatwaves so far and reports of more hot weather next week. With the school holiday just around the corner, too many families might be planning on enjoying some get-togethers and al fresco meals.

Ninja is a popular and sought-after brand for cooking gadgets and devices. Although many consumers associate it with air fryers, Ninja offers a wide range of other devices.

One of its summer-ready releases is the Artisan Electric Outdoor Pizza Oven & Air Fryer. The device is currently on sale at both Argos and Ninja for £229.99; however, stock is currently low at Ninja and 'likely to sell out'.

The Artisan Electric Outdoor Pizza Oven & Air Fryer is currently well stocked at Argos. The device normally has an RRP of £299.99, so customers can save £70 at the sale price.

The device has four cooking functions including Pizza, Bake, Air Fry and Prove. Ninja says it can cook a pizza in ‘three minutes or less’, although reviewers report it takes around four minutes, which is still incredibly speedy compared to an oven.

The outdoor cooking device has four cooking functions, including Pizza, Bake, Air Fry & Prove.

It fits a 12-inch pizza or baking tray, 6 chicken breasts, or 1.3kg of French fries. The Artisan Electric Outdoor Pizza Oven & Air Fryer comes with a 12” Pizza Stone, 30x30cm Bake Tray, Pizza Peel, Air Fry Basket & Quick Start Guide with recipes.

Shoppers hoping to find a cheaper alternative may consider opting for this Big Horn Outdoors pellet pizza from Amazon, priced at £127.42 (until Sunday, July 12), down from £149.90. It’s ready to cook in 18 minutes and reaches temperatures up to 460°C.

Households who’d prefer a barbecue instead can find this Barrel Charcoal BBQ at Dunelm for £70. It has a durable steel construction and a convenient storage shelf.

Prospective buyers of Ninja’s Artisan Electric Outdoor Pizza Oven & Air Fryer can find reviews of it on the brand's website, where it has earned an overall customer satisfaction rating of 4.7. One user remarked: “Owing to the great British weather, we only managed to use this yesterday. What an amazing product. Easy-to-use, delicious pizza in about 4 minutes. Fingers crossed the weather will be on our side, and we will get more use out of this over the summer.”

While another pleased shopper said, “I love all my Ninja appliances, and I have a few. This one is amazing, cooking perfect pizzas in around 4 to 5 mins, even browning, without overcooking. We use a variety of pizza bases, like the pre-made rolled-out ones from the supermarket.

“We also make a protein base with Greek yoghurt and flour, and all of them cook incredibly well. It took us a few attempts to get pizzas onto the peel correctly and offload them into the oven, but practice makes perfect. A lovely addition to my outdoor woodfire grill.”

Not all reviews are glowing, as one customer points out: “Great pizza, but you need to practice, and then the pizzas are fantastic. As an oven, it works well. As an air fryer, I thought it was a bit slow. For best results, I found pre-made pizza bases worked well. Overall, it was fun. It could be a bit easier to clean out, but don’t let that put you off. You definitely need a cover if you leave it outside.”

Someone else reported a better experience with the Artisan Electric Outdoor Pizza Oven & Air Fryer, saying: “Been debating whether to get one of these for a few months now, I’m so pleased I did, wish I’d got it sooner. It’s so easy to use, and the pizzas are delicious, so much nicer than takeout.”

A penultimate user commented: “Wow. I’m not often impressed, but this was so easy to use and delivered great pizzas. Not used the other features, but absolutely love the pizzas that it cooks.”

A final consumer remarked: “Really easy to use and makes great pizzas. Absolutely great bit of kit.”
