Samsung fans rush for Galaxy tablet as Sky cuts the price of one model

In the midst of iPhone 17 announcements, Samsung has quietly launched its newest tablet range - the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11, S11+ and the S11 Ultra. Now, Sky is offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra on a cost-splitting plan, and throwing in some big freebies.
Sky is offering the device for £34 a month as part of a 48-month contract with no upfront cost and for a limited time, Sky and Samsung will throw in a £199 Slim Book Cover completely free. Sky is also giving away free Galaxy Buds FE to go along with the device - two big freebies shoppers will get without paying a penny extra.
The newest Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has a 14.6-inch OLED screen with a smooth-scrolling 120Hz refresh rate and an anti-reflective coating, similar to that seen on the Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra devices. Its 5.1mm thickness is also, to be frank, ludicrously thin and impressive for a tablet of this screen size.
It also has dual rear cameras but otherwise shares its main specs with the smaller 11-inch S11, which has a 120Hz OLED display without the fancy coating and only one rear camera
For those who want some alternatives, there's plenty to choose from. Amazon is selling this 11-inch iPad for £309.98, with the speedy and reliable A16 chip included. There's also the super budget Samsung Galaxy A9 tablet for a little over £140.
Trusted Reviews had hands-on first impressions of the device and were very impressed. They added: "The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra appears to be a minor—yet meaningful—update to Samsung’s top-end tablet, addressing a few long-standing complaints about the Ultra models while also making it thinner and more powerful."
If you want our first thoughts on the device, during the launch coverage, Henry Burrell branded it an 'Android tablet priced to rival Apple's iPad Pro'.At a whopping £1,199, it's not affordable for everyone, except those who need Samsung's biggest and best tablet.
