Amazon has reduced the Soundcore by Anker Space One headphones from £89.99 to £54.99, giving shoppers a sizeable saving on a pair of over-ear headphones that are drawing strong reviews.

The Space One are a newer model from Soundcore and sit in the same family as the brand’s Q-series. Available in four colours – cream, blue, pink, black — they have the features we've come to expect from premium wireless headphones: adaptive active noise cancelling (ANC), which can be controlled through an accompanying app; on-ear controls that allow wearers to adjust volume, skip tracks or take calls without reaching for their phone and multipoint pairing so they can stay connected to two devices at once.

Battery life is one of the main highlights. Soundcore claims up to 55 hours of playback on a single charge without ANC, or around 40 hours with ANC switched on. It also has a fast-charge option that provides four hours of listening from just five minutes plugged in using USB-C.

Reviews on Amazon are largely positive, with customers pointing out both comfort and sound quality. One shopper wrote: "The noise cancelling is excellent (kept me sane on a flight to Turkey with several noisy kids nearby). Battery life is immense and they can be turned up without distortion."

Another added: "I'm blown away by how good these are: they're very comfortable, easy to control, have good noise cancelling, pair seamlessly, great battery life, and an accompanying app that's actually worth using! These should be double the price for the quality."

Several reviewers compared them favourably to more expensive brands. One noted that a relative who normally buys Sony headphones now considered these "better value and just as capable".

Another wrote: "I can’t tell the sound quality difference between these and my Sony headphones; Sony’s noise cancelling is marginally better but the massive difference in price and the extra comfort for me makes a non-contest."

Some feedback mentions that while the headphones are comfortable for long listening sessions, the fit is slightly bigger than older Soundcore models and others felt the noise cancelling and sound quality wasn't as good as previous models. However, the general consensus in the reviews is that for under £55, if bought in the sale, they provide a strong performance in everyday use.
