The iPhone 17 is just on the horizon for Apple fans today but for those who fancy an Android device, there's a new contract deal that's worth jumping on.

Sky is handing out the Samsung Galaxy S25+ for £30 a month on a 36-month contract, and it comes with a huge freebie. In a rare deal, shoppers can also get a Galaxy Chromebook Go worth £399 absolutely free when they take out the contract.

One thing to note is that shoppers will need to claim the laptop when they receive the phone. There's also a £12 upfront cost that'll have to be paid straight away. Overall, shoppers will pay £1092 for the device over the contract period, but that doesn't include the data plan. The good news is that Sky is also offering a data plan for £12 a month for 50GB.

And for those wanting some alternatives, there's plenty of options to choose from. For Apple fans not interested in waiting for the new iPhone, there's also a load of Apple deals for those investing in the iOS ecosystem. Carphone Warehouse has a handful of deals with prices starting from £29.99 a month.

There's also the newest Google Pixel 10 phones that can be snapped up. Mobiles.co.uk is selling the Pixel 10 Pro with a bundle of freebies for £41.99 a month.

Our deputy tech editor, Henry Burrell, also reviewed the Galaxy S25 and S25+ when it was released and was massively impressed with the great performance, solid battery life and excellent software. He added: "I won’t bury the lede with this review of the Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus. These phones are incredibly similar to every Galaxy S phone Samsung has released since the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus in 2022.

"If you’re coming from a Galaxy S21 or another phone from 2021 or older, the S25 range represents big upgrades in build quality, battery life, camera performance and software perks."

However, he wasn't a fan of how the design or cameras haven't changed in more current phones. He added: "The design has barely changed, and the cameras are literally the same, meaning if you are looking to upgrade your Android phone, there isn’t a lot here that’s new - on paper, at least. That’s not to say these aren’t excellent phone(s), because they are.
