Air fryers have exploded in popularity in recent years but these kitchen-top devices aren't great if you live in a flat or home with a small kitchen. The experts at Shark Ninja have already fixed the issue of space thanks to the launch of its double-stack device, which places two cooking drawers on top of one another to save room.

Now, the appliance team is going one step further with the launch of its first-ever portable cooker. It's called the Ninja CRISPi 4-in-1 Portable Glass Air Fryer and it offers a more compact way to make your nightly tea thanks to a handheld "Power Pod" device that snaps onto a special clear glass container.

This makes it perfect for taking on the move and far easier to tuck in your cupboard so it doesn't clog up your kitchen. According to Shark, counter space is one of the biggest pain points for consumers wanting to invest in an air fryer.

“We listened to consumers’ frustrations when it comes to cooking and leftovers to reimagine what’s possible with an air fryer,” said Purvin Shah, EVP of Global Product Development at SharkNinja.

“With the Ninja CRISPi, everyone from busy parents and professionals to college students and meal preppers can easily snap, crisp, serve, store and re-crisp delicious meals and snacks with one portable appliance, saving time, cutting down on clean-up and decreasing food waste.”

It's worth noting that the Ninja CRISPi isn't battery-powered, so it needs a mains socket to work. However, as long as you have power, it's big enough to cook everything from a whole chicken to snacks and family meals. You can even use the glass bowl to eat from, meaning less washing up.

It even comes with leakproof, BPA-free lids, so you can go from prepping to heating to serving to storing all in one glass container for less mess and fewer dirty dishes.

"Designed with four cooking modes – Air Fry, ReCrisp, Keep Warm and Roast – the system unlocks both small- and large-batch cooking to create individual portions, sides and snacks or large family meals serving up to six people," Shark Ninja explained.

The Ninja CRISPi will be available on March 5th 2025 for £179.99.
