Keeping an eye out for a good phone deal? You might be in luck because Google Pixel 8 Pro contracts might be worth picking up thanks to a new trade-in deal.

For a limited time, Carphone Warehouse is offering a free £200 extra when you trade-in your phone, thanks to a new promotion. So if you have a working phone that you just don't use anymore, you'll get £200 cash to put towards the device.

Or if you want the cash to put towards something else, you can do that too. So if you trade in a working iPhone 11 64GB for example, you'll get £90 trade-in value and £200 extra cash towards the phone or cash in your pocket.

But you'll have to consider that the phone has to be working to get the £200 extra value else you won't be able to get it.

The good news is you can use the money towards the upfront cost of the phone or any other contract which brings the price down significantly.

The best deal that we have found is a £29.99 a month contract with a £49 upfront cost. You'll get 100GB data, unlimited minutes and texts included with the contract.

In total, you'll pay £768.76 but with the trade in offer, you could pay £568.76 instead which becomes a great deal. Or you can use the £200 cash to get something else.

It’s a big phone - many are these days - but it packs in better specs and cameras compared to the smaller, cheaper Pixel 8. Android 14 is slick, speedy, and colourfully customisable on Pixel too, with Google promising an industry-best seven years of software updates all the way to 2030.

Charging could be faster and there’s no power pack in the box, and you might not love the boldly nerdy rear design. With a price of £999 it’s also much more expensive than previous Pixel Pro devices - something we always praised Google for in the past.
