Just weeks after Google launched its budget Pixel 8a, two brands most Android fans will love are now hundreds of pounds cheaper to buy. The flagship Pixel 8Pro and Samsung Galaxy S24 can now be found with as much as £600 cut off the price.

Summer can be an indecisive time to upgrade a phone, as a whirlwind of autumn releases and launches start to roll out in August, Apple's already given a hint with its iOS 18 launch date and Samsung could very well bring out new foldable phones (to take over the Pixel Fold).

So, if you want to snap up the future launches you may want to wait, but O2's £600 sale on the Pixel 8Pro and S24 is a chance to bag a snappy smartphone for one of the cheapest prices...ever. It's all part of the network's summer sale where customer can find hundreds off contracts.

The 128GB Google Pixel 8 Pro at O2 is now £600 cheaper (the biggest discount out of them all) as the device has dropped from £999 to £759 - that's a £240 saving on the phone across the full 36-month plan. But then we move onto the adjacent data part of the contract and the savings don't stop.

Users can save another £360 thanks to the £10 per month discount on 1GB, 5GB, 25GB, 30GB, 125GB and 150GB data plans. So, no matter your data budget you'd still make the same saving.

The Google Pixel 8Pro is now £240 to buy thanks to its device saving. This can also be boosted to a total of £600 saving with its £10 per month airtime saving that would save another £360 per month

Onto Samsung, and here's where shoppers can really make a huge leg-up. In its summer sale, the device is £500 cheaper, split across by its device and airtime discount. If you picked the standard 128GB phone, you'd save £140 on the device cutting the total price to only £697.83. And like the Google Pixel contract, the airtime is reduced by £10 per month so you'd save another £360 across the 36-month contract.

Prices for the S24 start at £34.55 and have an upfront cost of £30. But for Samsung shopper, it doesn't stop here. Anyone who takes the £500 on sale S24 device to the checkout and pays can claim another £150 back from Samsung - upping the sale amount to a huge £750.

This is thanks to a deal stacking deal that lets you take part in O2's summer sale and claim in Samsung's adjacent cashback offer. All you'll need to do is head to www.samsungoffers.claims/aicashback within 45 days of purchase.

O2 has is offering £500 off the S24 which is split into a £140 device saving and then a potential £360 saving on its airtime plans (cut by £10 per month).

However, Samsung is running a £150 cashback deal that will let you claim the O2 sale price and the get more money back.

As with any deal, there are some crucial deadlines you'll need to stick to. O2's device and airtime sale ends on July 3, so just over three weeks time. Although, if you want to get the ultimate £750 off the S24 you'll need to buy it by July 2 as this is when the £150 cashback deal ends - so take out the cheaper contract in time to claim the extra cashback from Samsung.

O2 also gives a warning on its site for Retail Price Index price hikes, that will impact customers' plans next April: " Monthly price of your Airtime Plan will increase each April from April 2025 by the Retail Price Index rate of inflation announced in February each year plus 3.9%."

Even though on sale, buying a phone is still a pricey pastime so we'd recommend shopping around first. Sky Mobile is currently running 50% off its data deals. This means you can save up to £180 on the Apple iPhone 15.

Another deal worth looking at is the much cheaper Samsung A15 4G mobile (a budget model) that's available on a monthly EE contract for under £25 each month - data and all.
