Amazon is offering one million books for FREE ...and a price crash for its ultimate Kindle
Book lovers, rejoice!
Amazon is offering access to one million Kindle eBooks for free, thanks to a blockbuster deal on its Kindle Unlimited subscription. Yes, this Netflix-like service unlocks access to some of the biggest bestsellers, which can be downloaded to your Kindle eReader, iPhone, iPad, PC, or Android phone and tablet to read.
Usually priced at £7.99 per month, Prime members will be able to claim 3 months access to Kindle Unlimited without paying a penny. As well as bestsellers and non-fiction books, Kindle Unlimited packs an impressive slate of magazines, including big brands like Cosmopolitan, Grazia, BBC Good Food Magazine, OK!, and Autocar, to name just a few.
And that's not all. If you want to give your eyes a rest, Kindle Unlimited also includes a slew of audiobooks to stream on your iPhone or Android device. Select Kindle models, like the Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Oasis support these audio files too.
As mentioned above, you don't need a Kindle to read everything included with Kindle Unlimited ...but if you want the ultimate eReader from the Seattle-based company, then Amazon has slashed the cost of its flagship Kindle Slate for the two-day sale.
For a limited time, the eReader has plummeted to £289.99 – the cheapest price ever.
It comes with a 10.2-inch, high-resolution 300ppi display with an e-ink panel that doesn't glare in direct sunlight, and includes a stylus, so you can scribble (or, scribe, if you prefer) and keep all your notes tucked away while also reading your favourite novel. That's not the only deal, however. Amazon has discounted the complete line-up of Kindle devices, from Paperwhite to Oasis too.
