Want to upgrade to Sky Glass? Low stock for all-new 4K TV could ruin your chances
DESPERATE to upgrade to the all-new Sky Glass TV? You should act fast as Sky is currently warning of low stock for select colour options.
Looking to upgrade to Sky Glass? The custom-designed 4K TV caused a stir when it was unveiled at a glitzy launch event in October last year, with Sky forced to restrict orders to its longest-serving customers to keep up with the huge demand. Thankfully, it's now possible for anyone to add the all-in-one telly to their basket – however, some colours remain hard to get your hands on.
For those who don't know, Sky Glass includes everything you need to watch including live Sky TV channels, on-demand boxsets, and streaming services like Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video. It boasts a Quantum Dot panel with one billion colours and 4K Ultra HD picture quality. There's also a built-in soundbar that's compatible with the Dolby Atmos standard and hands-free voice controls, so you can bark orders to your telly without a remote in sight, like using an Amazon Echo or Google Nest smart speaker.
Sky Glass is the first product from the company that doesn't require a satellite dish. Instead of an unsightly dish on your roof or outside wall, everything is beamed using a Wi-Fi connection. For thousands of people living in apartment buildings, rented homes, or properties unable to capture a strong enough satellite signal, Sky Glass could be the first time they've been able to watch paid-for television from the broadcaster.
Starting from £13 a month for a 43-inch model and rising to £21 a month for the largest 65-inch panel, the most affordable way to buy Sky Glass is to pay over 48 monthly instalments. Those who want a shorter contract can halve that to 24 months and Sky also sells its new QLED TV outright (£649 for the 43-inch model, £849 for the 55-inch, and £1,049 for the top-end 65-inch model).
During the checkout process, Sky Glass fans can customise the look of their new QLED TV. There are five colours available: Anthracite Black, Ocean Blue, Racing Green, Dusky Pink, and Ceramic White.
The built-in soundbar, which sits in the chin of the all-in-one telly, is covered with a mesh facelift that can be colour-matched to the rest of the telly or contrasted with any of the other four colour options available. Picking a contrasting colour option for the speaker grill costs an extra £39.

Sky is warning of low stock levels for the Dusky Pink television, while the speaker fascia in Ceramic White is running low too. During the launch event, Sky said that its choice of colours for Sky Glass was designed to help the television blend into the décor of your home. And it seems the subtle shade of pink is a popular choice with shoppers, while the Ceramic White provides a nice contrast with the rest of the colour lineup.
