LG 4K TVs finally catch up with Samsung as long-awaited new feature launches at last
LG 4K TVs have finally got a long-awaited feature that big South Korean rival Samsung has offered to its customers for over a year.
LG and Samsung are the two biggest TV producers in the world, with the South Korean tech giants forging a reputation over the years as the go-to choices for 4K and OLED TVs. But for over a year now LG has lagged behind Samsung on one front - Apple Music support. The popular streaming service first got its own dedicated app for Samsung tellies back in April 2020, something that LG TVs have been missing - until now.
This week LG finally launched its own Apple Music app, which is available for tellies running webOS 4.0 and higher.
The Apple Music app can be downloaded from the LG Content Store, and offers access to a mammoth library of over 90million songs, over 30,000 expertly curated playlists and 4K music videos.
You'll also be able to tune in to one of Apple Music Radio stations, which provides live streaming today’s hits, classics, and country.
If you fancy a karaoke night, you'll also be able to listen to millions of Apple Music tracks on your LG TV with time-synced lyrics.
This great feature is perfect if you want to have an impromptu sing-along in your living room.

If you're already an Apple Music subscriber, you'll be able to log in on the LG app with your existing account, and call up your favourite tracks from your library straight away.
And if you've never used Apple Music before then you can see what all the fuss is about, as the LG app is also offering a free three months trial.
After that, you'll be charged the usual price of £9.99 per month.
