These houses are being put up for auction for just £1 - but you'll need to get in quick
BRITAIN'S cheapest houses are being auctioned - with a guide price of just £1.
Three houses in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, are being auctioned with a guide price of just £1
The auction organisers are expecting "huge interest" in the two-bedroom homes in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, which each even include a back yard.
The £1 guide price is staggering when compared to the average UK house price of £232,530.
Pictures from the auction catalogue show the basic properties interior, which is unfurnished.
Gurpreet Bassi, SDL Auctions' partner and head of auctions, believes that the homes would be a great investment, although would need refurbishment.
He said: "These three properties offer excellent investment opportunities in the rental market and will potentially bring in attractive revenues once they have been refurbished."
He added: "These £1 properties are likely to generate a high level of interest in our auction which has scores of other interesting properties."

Spokesman Steve Dyson said: "I understand that the properties were all owned by the same landlord but fell into receivership."
"As it stands there is money owed on each of the properties so this is seen as a fresh start.
"There is no reason to keep hold of the properties and the £1 start price will generate interest in the homes."
The auction is set to take place on July 6 at the Holte Suite at Aston Villa Football Club
The six room terraced houses are listed in the catalogue for external viewings only, with the auctioneers unable to inspect the properties internally prior to the auction date.
