Jack Sparrow House is an enchanting shed designed for fairies and pixies
DESIGNED for fairies and pixies out of recycled wood, quirky Jack Sparrow House is an enchanting entrant in 2014’s Shed of the Year competition.
But despite it having a toilet, mezzanine floor and double bed, creator Jonathan Melville-Smith from Falmouth faces fierce competition from a raft of souped-up sheds clamouring for the title.
Other entrants include a Moroccan-themed retreat, an eco haven and numerous back-garden bars.
The competition, which started in 2007, now has eight categories: eco, workshop, summerhouse, tardis, garden office, pub, unique and normal.
The winner will get £1,000 from sponsor Cuprinol and £100 worth of their products – plus a coveted plaque.
Founder Andrew Wilcox said: “Some stunning entries so far – and a lot of previous entries upping their game and pimping their sheds for this year. We really rate those eccentric sheddies.”
