Amazon undercuts Shark with £235 off 'very powerful' Stratos vacuum until Monday

Amazon has undercut Shark by knocking hundreds off a Stratos cordless vacuum. The deal is running during the retailer’s Spring Deal Days sale, where there’s more than £230 off the Shark Stratos Cordless Pet Pro Stick Vacuum Cleaner.

Originally £429.99, this model was reduced to £229.99 before dropping further to £195.48. This represents a total saving of £234.51 and beats Shark’s own discounted price of £229.99.

However, the deal is due to expire when Amazon’s sale comes to an end at 11.59pm on Monday (March 16). What sets this Stratos vacuum apart from other models is the addition of Anti Hair Wrap Plus technology, which removes both long and short hair from the brush-roll as it cleans, making it an ideal choice for pet owners.

It also boasts intelligent Clean Sense IQ, which automatically adjusts the suction power when it senses dirt for up to 50% more pick-up, according to Shark. The DuoClean floorhead, complete with two motorised brush-rolls, ensures the vacuum glides from carpets and hard floors, while LED headlights illuminate hard-to-see dirt and debris.

The Stratos Pet Pro comes with a long-lasting and removable battery that can run for up to 60 minutes on a single charge. There’s also a bundle of accessories, including a duster crevice tool, multi-surface tool, anti-allergen brush, FurFins PetTool, charger and accessory bag.

Another key feature is Shark’s Flexology wand, allowing the vacuum to bend and easily reach under furniture and fold down for compact storage. Amazon’s sale comes amid a rival Dyson sale, where the brand has knocked hundreds off its own vacuum cleaner range.

This includes £130 off the Dyson Cyclone V10 Submarine at £349.99 (was £479.99). While more expensive than the Stratos, this model serves as both a wet and dry vacuum cleaner and comes with free wet rollers worth £85.

Amazon customers have awarded the Shark Stratos Cordless Pet Pro Stick Vacuum Cleaner a 4.4-star rating after more than 3,000 reviews. Shoppers have hailed it as ‘lightweight’, ‘very powerful’ and ‘so much better’ than Dyson.

One said: “I couldn’t be more impressed with the Shark Stratos, it’s hands-down the best vacuum I’ve owned. As a pet owner with two shedding dogs and a mix of carpet and hard floors, I needed something powerful, lightweight, and easy to use. This ticks every box and then some.”

Another said: “This is fantastic – lightweight, yet very powerful, with impressive battery life. It’s made my life so much easier, especially with two kids at home. Others were disappointed with the Shark Stratos accessories, saying: “Tools do not meet recommended criteria for using for car and stairs as no tool makes this task easy.”

While another five-star review says: “Superb vacuum cleaner – hoping it lasts. Some connectors feel a tad flimsy. It cleans really well with good suction power, which can be adapted. Most of the attachments are well thought out. The light on the head unit is a nice touch. So much better than the Dyson we had.”
