Buying a new vacuum cleaner can often be a costly affair as many premium models cost several hundred pounds, particularly for those seeking powerful suction with minimal noise levels. However, one particular Hoover model has impressed shoppers with its capability to 'pull pet hair, dust and dirt into it from easily over six inches away' whilst operating 'so quietly'.

The Hoover Breeze Pet Upright Vacuum Cleaner usually sells for £99.99 but is currently reduced to £69, saving shoppers more than £30. Whilst its standard price point below £100 represents excellent value for its features, the discounted £69 price tag offers an outstanding deal for budget-conscious buyers.

Boasting a 3L capacity that's 'easy' to empty, alongside an adjustable height brush bar suitable for various floor types. This Hoover vacuum cleaner includes an additional two-in-one crevice dusting and upholstery tool that's perfect for tackling awkward, hard-to-reach areas.

Whilst it lacks the portability of cordless alternatives such as the Shark PowerPro Pet (£189.99, was £279.99) – which also offers robust hair collection and Anti Hair Wrap Technology – and the VAX HomePro Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (£169.99, was £299.99), it features a seven metre power cable and a 4.5 metre stretch hose. This allows users to clean their ground floor and staircase without needing to change plug sockets.

For pet owners, the Hoover's specialist pet brush proves ideal for capturing stubborn animal fur that many standard vacuum cleaners might overlook. What has particularly impressed customers is its remarkably low noise output at 80db, reports Birmingham Live.

One satisfied Hoover shopper posted a five-star review on Amazon, saying: "Wow, is this thing quiet. When I turned it on to first use I thought oh no this is gonna be useless but how wrong was I, this on hard floors pulls pet hair, dust and dirt into it from easily over six inches away from the vac body and it does it so quietly.

"I still can't believe something with this much suction is this quiet I could talk over it without raising my voice. As a test I even tried with earphones in to see if it ruins the music like our last one did and it's barely audible over my earbuds listening to music at moderate volume. If you are tired of your old vac and think only the expensive ones are capable of doing a really good job then think again and buy this as you really get way more than you pay for with this.

"I would say it is better than most I have used at three times the price as it really does a great job at lifting let hair from carpets and furniture."

However, they also noted a drawback, saying: "The little brush attachment requires a bit of a knack to use it efficiently, but once you master it, it is a great bit of kit that is good for pet owners to use on clothing and furniture."

Nevetheless, another reviewer left a positive review, saying: "This is a great cleaner and even got rid of all my dog hairs with its strong suction."

Another said: "Love this Hoover. It has strong suction power, is lightweight and quiet."

Whilst its portability has been commended for being convenient to manoeuvre and transport, one three-star review of the Hoover Breeze Pet wasn't entirely convinced: "I was looking for a lightweight vacuum as I have shoulder problems. This is definitely lightweight, but so much so that even if it catches you looking like you might extend the hose, it topples over."

That said, the majority of feedback was favourable, with one satisfied customer describing it as the 'best Hoover' ever, commenting: "Very pleased with my Hoover. Great value for the money, best Hoover I have had. Excellent for carpets and hard floors."
