Simba mattress that's a ‘game changer for sleep’ is £225 cheaper but only until tonight

A good mattress is a key investment in getting enough restful sleep and maintaining our minds and bodies' health. While mattresses can be a pricy purchase, shoppers looking to upgrade theirs can save up to 30% in Simba Sleep's New Year sale, which includes offers on some of the brand's most expensive mattresses – but only for a limited time.
As part of the sale, Simba's most expensive model, the Hybrid Ultra mattress, is 30% off, but it is not exactly budget-friendly, considering it still costs more than £1,000 for a double, even with the discount. However, the brand's classic Hybrid model is now discounted by 25%, and a double is available for under £600.
Specifically, the price of a double Hybrid mattress has been slashed from £799 to £599.25, saving shoppers around £200. However, the deal is only on until tonight (Monday), with no mention of another sale in the near future.
Although it’s one of the more affordable mattresses in the range, shoppers have described the Hybrid as a “game-changer for sleep” and highly recommend it for back pain relief. One review said: "This has been a game changer for my sleep! Very comfortable and just the right amount of firmness!!"
Another shopper wrote: "Absolutely amazing, best mattress I have had, and I suffer from bad back pain. [The] mattress is amazing and great for my lower back pain, I have amazing nights' sleep on it, and I couldn’t praise it any more. The support it gives me on my back as well as my side is brilliant. I have not had a mattress like this before, and I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else for another mattress other than Simba. I have told everyone I know."
A third review said: "Absolutely amazing, best mattress I have had and I suffer from bad back pain... The thickness is great, and I have amazing dreams on this mattress."
The Hybrid mattress also comes in seven additional sizes, all of which are 25% off, ranging from single to super king in UK standard sizes and single to queen in EU dimensions. A UK single (90 x 190cm) normally costs £649, but with the discount, it falls under £500, at £486.75. An EU single (90 x 200cm) has the same discount. There's also a small UK double (120 x 190cm) option that can be great for spare rooms, which has been discounted from £799 to £599.25.
At the same time, both the UK king (150 x 200cm) and the EU double (140 x 200cm) sizes have been slashed to £674.25 from £899, and the UK super king (180 x 200cm) and EU queen (160 x 200cm) are down from £999 to £749.25.
The mattress has a medium firmness and is 25cm depth, which is less than the Ultra, the depth of which is 34cm – this means it's not quite as big if you don’t want to be clambering up into bed. Its multiple layers also minimise bounce, so there's no fear of being woken up in the night if someone is tossing and turning.
What makes this a Hybrid mattress is its multiple layers, which combine springs, a foam layer, and one infused with graphite designed to keep the body cool while you sleep. Simba explains that each layer serves a different purpose: the foam layer is designed to cradle the body, while the springs are meant to provide structure and support, preventing the mattress from feeling too soft. According to the brand, the result is a cooler mattress that provides a supported, cooler sleep experience without excessive bounce.
We can vouch for Simba’s quality, as shopping editor Aimee Robinson has been sleeping on the Simba Ultra for over three years.
She said: “I first got the Simba Hybrid Ultra mattress in 2023 and it has really made a difference in the way I sleep – especially compared to my previous IKEA mattress. Perhaps the only downside is the price, retailing for close to £2k for a king-size. If you want similar quality but at a more affordable price, the Hybrid seems like a sound choice. It has five layers and the same mixture of spring and foam for comfort.“

The Hybrid mattress has an impressive 4.8 out of five rating calculated from over 130,000 reviews.
One reviewer was pleased with the way the mattress limits bounce, with one saying: "Since changing to a Simba mattress, both my partner and I have been able to sleep all night without rolling into each other or bouncing around like our spring mattress".
Another said: "I’m absolutely delighted with my new Simba Hybrid mattress. From the first night, I noticed a huge improvement; the comfort and support are next level. It feels soft on top but properly holds you in the right places. I can toss and turn, or get in and out of bed without waking my wife. I’ve been waking up with far less stiffness, and the cooling layer really does keep the temperature just right."
Others pointed out it was a great option for side sleepers, with one saying: "Since having this mattress, my sleep has improved dramatically. Our old mattress was this and lumpy, this has been a massive upgrade for us. I predominantly sleep on my side, and my hip and shoulder pain has practically gone."
The mattress has no negative reviews, but one shopper was not a huge fan of the lack of bounce, saying they found it was "too soft at the edges". They added: "For the first four nights i found it difficult to get to sleep on this bed. But after this initial period I got used it, we slept well enough to sleep on it but didn't find it comfortable."
Simba also has discounts on all of the other mattresses in the range, as well as its pillows and duvets, discounted by up to 30%. Click here to explore the sale.
