If you're like me, mowing the lawn can seem like an absolute faff. Go grab the lawnmower, untangle the annoying wire and push it around for half an hour just so the garden doesn't look like a jungle.

The good news is I might not have to worry about that anymore. That's because B&Q is having a summer sale on robotic lawnmowers. The cheapest around is this Worx Landroid lawnmower, currently £149 however, stock is proving limited.

This Mac Allister MAC Cordless robot lawnmower is currently slightly more expensive than the Worx at £189. It's suitable for gardens up to 300m² and it has a run time of 60 mins on one battery charge while the robot automatically returns to its charging dock when the battery is running low.

The Mac Allister robot lawnmower might be the thing to stop us from hating mowing the lawn.

It is currently £189 during B&Q's summer sale. And it might be perfect for the summer grass growing pandemic.

The Mac Allister comes with built-in lift, tilt, obstacle and turnover sensors which give security and peace of mind, while allowing the robot to easily manoeuvre around the garden.

It even has a mulching feature that feeds the tiny grass clippings back to your lawn, returning nitrogen and other essential nutrients into the soil, resulting in healthier, nourished grass. For £189, shoppers will get a charging station, a 100m boundary wire, 120 pegs, 3 spare blades, and 3 wire connectors.

For those wanting to shop around, Argos has this £300 LawnMaster with 44 five-star reviews. Amazon fans can also pick up this £499 Flymo robot lawnmower that claims to be ultra quiet.

Reviews on the Mac Allister are glowing as well. One shopper said: "I was a bit worried about how the cutting would go, but I was so happy with the results, they were fantastic. I am so happy I bought this machine"

However, one shopper who loves the machine did complain about the setup. They said: "Setting the boundary wire can be tricky and instructions aren’t always matching reality (burying the boundary wire worked best and you could set the boundary wire right up to the edge of the cutting area rather than 10-20cm).

"It handles grass longer than 45mm much better than stated and saves me so much time at a price cheaper than most wireless manual lawnmowers. Massive timesaver and more regular and varied cutting than I would do manually."
