Debenhams' mattress topper slashed to under £50 in Blue Cross sale – feels like a 'cloud'

For those who need additional comfort or support for their beds, a mattress topper is an easy way to upgrade their sleep without splurging on a new mattress. With a variety of firmness levels and fillings available on the market, there’s something for everyone.
Debenhams recently launched its Blue Cross sale online, featuring numerous household and homeware discounts. Among these deals, shoppers can find the highly rated Enzysleep mattress topper, which has received hundreds of five-star reviews.
The four-inch Super Soft Mattress Topper, available in white and in five different sizes, is currently reduced. The topper is crafted from high-grade anti-allergic microfiber that claims to be gentle on the skin.
It features elasticated straps for secure fitting and a box stitch design to keep the filling in place.
The single size is now available for £29.83, down from £44.99. The small double is priced at £38.22, reduced from £59.99.
The double is now £41.79, down from £59.99. The king size is on sale for £44.79, originally £59.99. Finally, the superking size is now £46.49, marked down from £64.99.
Of course, there are cheaper mattress toppers out there. For a more budget-friendly option, SilentNight's Deep Sleep Mattress Topper is available on Argos from £24. The topper is stuffed with hollow fibre and enveloped in a gentle microfibre shell, plus it’s touted for its hypoallergenic properties, steering clear of any allergy-provoking substances.
Or, if you are looking to invest in a mattress topper, Emma Sleep’s cheapest topper starts from £146.
Turning the spotlight back onto the Debenhams topper, which boasts an impressive array of over 500 customer testimonials, 404 of these are glowing five-star ratings. A satisfied customer exclaimed: “Best buy this year. Exceeded my expectations. Comfortable, thick cushion."
Another elated sleeper said: “It feels like sleeping on a cloud. I've had it on for around a month now, and it's still as comfy as day one."
But not everyone shared in the excitement. One disgruntled buyer gave a measly one-star rating, remarking: “Unfortunately, upon trying this four-inch thick super soft mattress topper, I very quickly started to overheat.”

They also added that though the mattress topper is comfortable, it wasn't great for heat regulation. The shopper said: "And whilst I agree with other Debenhams shoppers that this mattress topper can give added comfort, ultimately, the lack of heat-absorbing technology meant that I had to buy a more premium mattress topper to satisfy my demands."
Meanwhile, another consumer noted: “My husband wanted a mattress topper. I was dubious, as I love our firm mattress. We put it on our mattress and I have to admit it’s really comfortable. The quality of the topper we bought is beyond good. We both love it."
A final review added: “Purchased for my son's mattress at university. Wasn't too sure how effective it would be, but he says it's like sleeping on a cloud! Definitely recommend, and very good price.”
