Allergy sufferers say £40 Dunelm air purifier is 'life-changing' – clears pollen and dust

If you suffer from hay fever, allergy season usually starts in March and ends in September, so you may already be noticing symptoms. Most commonly, these include sneezing, itchy eyes, a scratchy throat, and a blocked nose due to particles in the air. However, one way to help is by clearing the air using an air purifier, and some allergy sufferers say they've found a great solution.
Pollen causes hay fever, and while only medication can help when you're outdoors, an air purifier is an indoor solution that filters out pollen and removes dust particles to make your home a more comfortable environment. Some Dunelm shoppers have praised the £40 four-speed white air purifier for helping their allergies. However, the filter will need to be removed and cleaned periodically.
The device is neat and compact, with a sleek white design, and as it’s fairly small, it can easily be moved around to different rooms to tackle the areas that are affecting you the most. For example, if you struggle to sleep because of allergies, you could pop it beside you on a bedside table.
There are also four different speeds, which determine how quickly the purifier circulates and filters air, and it can reach rooms of up to 78 square metres.

One shopper said: ''Cannot believe how much this has helped with my allergies, it’s been a game-changer.''
A second shopper added: "Life-changing. These have helped with allergies, smells and freshness in our home, so good that I even bought a second for the bedroom and it works wonders."
A third shopper left a review saying: "Brilliant size and price. Easy to use. Good value for money. Already recommended to several people. Not sure why I have been living without one."
Alternatively, the Philips Air Purifier 600 Series is reduced from £99.99 to £81.79 at Amazon and can be controlled via an app on your phone, so you can control it while you're out. It's also ultra-quiet to minimise disruption at home.
Or, the Shark NeverChange5 Air Purifier costs £249.99 and releases a fresh scent to help neutralise odours as it purifies the air. It's also low maintenance, as the filter lasts up to five years without needing to be replaced.
