Stainless steel will sparkle if 1 unusual bathroom item is rubbed into surfaces - not oil
Give stainless steel a nice shine and reduce the appearance of superficial scratches with one item easily found in the bathroom.

If you’re looking to make stainless steel shine this spring, one cleaning fan has shared a cost-effective tip using an item you likely already own. Jade Arrowsmith detailed a number of her favourite cleaning hacks, including how you can easily make stainless steel items gleam.
In a February TikTok video, Jade shared how she uses toothpaste as an easy remedy to restore the shine to stainless steel. She recommends using a soft toothbrush to apply the toothpaste to the affected areas and buff it into the metal. Toothpaste can help clean stainless steel items and reduce the appearance of scratches.

Toothpaste contains a mild abrasive cleaner, which can act as a polishing agent when applied to stainless steel.
Buffing in toothpaste can help gently wear down uneven edges of scratches, making them less visible - or even removing them in some places. This can work on superficial, light and semi-deep scratches, according to Tampa Steel.
To help improve the appearance of scratches, TampaSteel & Supply instructed applying toothpaste to the scratched area and rubbing it in with your finger or a toothbrush.
When rubbing in the toothpaste, go with the grain. When you’re done, take a damp cloth and remove the toothpaste from the surface.

Appliance giant Bosch also recommended following with olive oil. They wrote: “If you want your appliances to shine, a neat trick would be simply to apply a few drops of olive oil before wiping your stainless steel appliances down with a cloth. This gives it a great deep shine that will complete your kitchen’s modern, sleek look.”
