The idyllic Hampshire village where James Martin lived for a decade
James Martin has been a regular face on television for years and is well-known for shows such as Saturday Kitchen. When the chef isn't on television, he can be found in the Hampshire countryside.
Living a rural life, James Martin was said to live in the quiet Hampshire town of Stoke Charity, where he has resided for a number of years.
It is very close to the market town of Winchester and the village sits on the River Dever with gorgeous countryside views.
Stoke Charity is home to some gorgeous homes, with lots of thatched cottages in the village.
In 2022, the village had an overall average house price of £1,223,000, with detached homes selling for up to £2million.
According to Rightmove, semi-detached homes fetched an average of £330,000 back in 2022.
With no major high street or town, it’s easy to see why a celebrity may wish to reside in the village, away from the public.
Situated on the outskirts of the village, James is said to have lived in a gorgeous seven-bedroom mansion, believed to have been on the market for £3.5million.
The former dairy was renovated by the chef where he lived for more than a decade.

James is believed to have packed up and moved away from the home before the pandemic began, although mystery surrounds where he may now live.
He regularly shares snaps on his Instagram of the glorious countryside as well as food he has been cooking.
Another chef who enjoys a quiet life outside of television is Greg Wallace who is thought to live in a gorgeous village in Kent.
The village of Biddenden is in a gorgeous location, not far from Royal Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone or the coast.
