Whiten bathroom grout using multipurpose ingredient that’s not vinegar – dissolves dirt
You can clean your bathroom grout in seconds using an effective solution that only requires one ingredient.
There’s a way to whiten your bathroom grout effectively using a cleaner that’s not your commonly used vinegar or baking soda. You can give those items a break and try this out instead.
Before putting this hack to work, be mindful to not use it on dark marble, as it can potentially bleach your surface, says content creator Caroline who shared her genius grout-cleaning method on TikTok.
How to whiten bathroom grout
Pour a few tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide into a glass. Grab a toothbrush that you are no longer using, dip it in the hydrogen peroxide, and start scrubbing at your grout.
“This totally dissolves any dirt,” Caroline said. Peroxide also cleans and brightens the area to have your grout looking like new. It cuts through residue as well.
Keep scrubbing at your grout until you are satisfied with the appearance. Grab a wet rag to rinse off the area.

Remove stains from clothes and curtains
Hydrogen peroxide can effectively remove stains from clothes. Allow the stain to soak for a bit while it's in a three percent hydrogen peroxide solution. After this, wash your clothes in the machine like you normally would.
A cup of peroxide can also be thrown into a regular load of laundry to increase brightness, making it a very good alternative to bleach that is just as effective.
