The pretty village could have been plucked from a travel guide with stone-built cottages, a 200-year-old lighthouse and a rugged coastline.
The village has a rich history with ancient remnants that date back to around 3000 BC.
While there may not be white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters, Boddam has a natural jagged coastline that's beautiful in its own right.
The Buchan Ness Lighthouse was built in 1827 and stands at 36 metres high. The lighthouse is hard to miss with a big red stripe painted in the centre.
The village itself has the usual facilities - a post office, hotels, an inn, a fish and chip shop and a local shop.
There's also a small-scale fishing industry which primarily focuses on crab and lobster.
