WARNING: Stop having so much sex over Christmas for THIS reason, begs midwife
A MIDWIFE has spoken out urging couples to stop having so much sex at a particular time of year, as so many babies are born nine months later.
A midwife has urged couples to stop having so much sex at Christmas time in a joke Tweet
September 26 is the day with the highest number of babies born in the UK.
Working backwards, this means couples conceived at a particular time of year - Christmas.
In fact, September 26 is nearly exactly nine months to the day after Christmas Day.
Whilst many people could think of nothing less appealing than getting frisky after weeks of eating mince pies and drinking champagne, the data reveals for many British couples, it is the sexiest time of the year.
How is it only the 5th of September. I can’t take 25 more days of this
And now one midwife has taken to Twitter to beg couples to hold off and reduce the strain on hospital wards.
In a tongue-in-cheek Twitter post, London based midwife Mhairi Maharry said: “How is it only the 5th of September. I can’t take 25 more days of this.
“If you know or love a midwife, PLEASE STOP S******* AT CHRISTMAS.”
Other medical professionals responded to her to agree with what she had said.
September 26 is the day most babies are born in the UK, meaning they were conceived at Christmas
Vicky Thornley said: “Hear hear from the Paeds doctor doing baby checks!”
Dee said: “Amen I work in maternity and d***”.
Of course, some parents may plan the birth of their child to coincide with the start of the school year.
It is thought being older in the year is better for a child’s chances in exams.

Maternity wards are most full during September, the most popular month for births
And this phenomenon is not unique to the UK, as data from the USA and New Zealand shows a rise in births in September too.
Conversely, December 25th and 26th show the least number of births in the UK - meaning March is not a popular time for couples to try and get pregnant.
Not all couples are lucky enough to get pregnant without help - and this is the real cost of IVF in the UK.
However, there is more than just the financial cost that women and their partners should consider when undergoing IVF.
