Erectile dysfunction SPRAY to help men last longer in bed now available to buy in the UK
ERECTILE dysfunction is a common problem, and can cause misery for men - but a spray which helps treat premature ejaculation is now available to buy in the UK.
Advice on preventing premature ejaculation
Fortacin, produced by Plethora Solutions, has previously only been available on prescription in the UK.
But concerned men and their partners can now buy it online from Chemist 4 U, with one can costing £99.99.
Each can offers twenty doses of the treatment, and men wanted the spray will have to answer a questionnaire to be assessed by an in-house doctor for Chemist 4 U.
The spray is a combination of two medicines, lidocaine and prilocaine, both of which are anaesthetic drugs.
One dose, which is three sprays, are applied directly to the penis before intercourse.
The product works by decreasing the sensitivity of the head of the penis, to increase the amount of time before ejaculation.
The spray takes effect almost immediately after application - which the makers claim gives users more control without reducing pleasure.
More than 85 per cent of men were able to last longer in bed with a delayed ejaculation time of greater than one minute after using the spray, test showed.
Erectile dysfunction affects one in four men around the world - but a new spray could help
Long suffering premature ejaculation patients in the UK will finally have a trustworthy prescriptive remedy for the condition which is affecting one in every four men globally
Plethora Solutions said ejaculation time increases as the drug treatment is continued over several months, and men can soon hold back from ejaculations for quite a few minutes after getting intimate with a partner.
When the product was made available to GPs last year, Plethora Solutions’ Jamie Gibson, said: “Long suffering premature ejaculation patients in the UK will finally have a trustworthy prescriptive remedy for the condition which is affecting one in every four men globally.
“The condition creates significant burden on health, emotion, and overall quality of life of both men and their partners.”
As well as premature ejaculation, around half of men over 40 suffer from erectile dysfunction or impotence.

The spray is one way to treat erectile dysfunction - but experts have advised diet may play a key factor too.

She said she is regularly asked by our couples if there is anything that a man may be doing to damage his fertility and in turn if there are any lifestyle changes he can make to improve their chances of conceiving.
She said: “A typical ‘Western’ diet which includes a high intake of processed meats, refined carbs, and sweets – essentially an unhealthy diet – can have an impact on sperm motility."
