One in five will not take his or her full allowance this year, ranking Britons 11th out of 28 countries in a “work-life balance” study.
French workers topped the ratings. Travel company Expedia’s survey of 9,424 workers found Britons have an average of 25 vacation days in 2016.
But 19 per cent will take fewer than this, commonly blaming pressure at work and money worries.

Expedia’s Alex Platts advised: “While hard graft is important in a job, it's necessary to give yourself enough time off to refresh, take a step away and come back raring to go.
"That's why it's a shame that so many of us feel too busy to take all of our holiday days.

“Our research shows the positive effects that are felt by employees and businesses alike, so British workers shouldn't feel too busy, worried or guilty to take all of their time off.
