She's a canny lass: Did you believe this was Cheryl Fernandez-Versini?
THERE are worse things in life than looking like Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, as this young Brit only knows.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's look-a-like is the spitting image of the star
But life isn't always easy for Natalie Vella, who is the X Factor judge's doppelganger and has felt the wrath of recent weight-shaming comments in the media.
The slim look-a-like has revealed she was bullied for being slender at school and knows how Cheryl feels after people called her out for her recent weight loss.
Natalie said: "I saw how people reacted to her weight-loss, calling her 'anorexic' and 'sick' - I felt awful for her. She was grieving her father-in-law, but all people could do was attack her.
"From a young age I've faced the same shaming, being called 'skin and bones' and 'ironing board' for being flat-chested."
She added: "I used to get so upset about my size, as other girls made fun of me in secondary school for still wearing kid-sized clothes. It really knocked my confidence.
Natalie Vella looks like Cheryl in almost every way
"People take skinny-shaming much less seriously than fat-shaming, when they're both just as bad as each other.
"Everyone should be free to look the way they want - and I agree with Cheryl, skinny-shaming should be illegal, with a fine at least."
Some disagreed with Cheryl's reaction to her public body shaming, including fellow celeb Amanda Holden, who claimed that Cheryl 'overreacted'.
Natalie said: "I think Cheryl's reaction was completely justified - there's no pleasing anyone in the celebrity world, and as soon as she puts on any weight that'll be criticised too."
Before becoming an official lookalike earlier this year, size 6 Natalie worked as a model and makeup artist.

She said: "By the time I started modelling, I'd learned to love and respect my body.
"But then I noticed photographers touching up my photos to make me even thinner, and I realised this beauty standard would never accept realistic bodies.
"I think that's true of the celebrity world, too - there's just no way to please people."
Incredibly, Natalie has never undergone any kind of surgery to achieve her look - instead, she relies on makeup skills to enhance her natural likeness.
She claims to spend around £100 per month on beauty products to keep her looking like the nation's sweetheart.

Natalie became an official lookalike earlier this year
She said: "I think we're quite similar in personality, she's so lovely and bubbly.
"We also share a star sign, Cancer, and at 5" 4' I'm only an inch taller than Cheryl.
"I always watch the X Factor when she's on, and I have playlists of all her solo and Girls Aloud music on Spotify.
"I'd like to keep working as a model and makeup artist, as well as a lookalike, and I'd love to get the chance to go to a Cheryl concert.
"My ultimate dream, though, would be meeting the legend herself!"
