January sales

The January sales have kicked off (Image: Ninja, M&S, Argos, Habitat)

Christmas might be over, but whether you've had your eye on something special or just fancy treating yourself after shopping for everyone else this festive season, the January sales are a great chance to get a bargain. It might not feel like long since we had the Black Friday sales (which often offer some of the best discounts all year), but the January sales can offer deals that are just as good—if not a close second—when it comes to discounts.

They usually commence as Boxing Day sales, lasting throughout the first month of the year. Historically, Boxing Day sales happened because retailers wanted to clear out leftover stock to make way for new products for the coming year. These days, that’s not always the case, but most retailers still get involved, so whether you're looking to upgrade your wardrobe for 2026, grab some last-minute accessories, treat yourself to fresh tech or stock up on the latest appliances for around the home, it's a great time to shop. And at a cut of the usual price.

Now, given the number of retailers who participate in the sales, we'd be here all day if we tried to list every single deal. But, as a shopping editor, I've taken on the challenge of wading through the seemingly endless discounts on offer to select 10 of my favourites right now.

Given that most deals will last throughout the month, it means you have plenty of time to shop.  Of course, everything is subject to availability, so there's always a chance the most popular things could sell out.

I think it's a good opportunity to get something discounted if you've been eyeing a specific product for a while and missed the chance to get it cheaper during the Black Friday sales.

Scroll down to see my top 10 picks from the January sales not to be missed—but do keep checking back throughout January, as we’ll be updating this page as the sale event continues.

Best January Sale Deals

January 2026 is here, and I've already spotted some fantastic sales from the likes of Dunelm, Emma Bridgewater, Monica Vinader, Amazon and Argos. Some brands, like Ninja and Shark, also have some special winter discounts, although these aren't being marketed specifically as January sales (so who knows, they could be around for a bit longer).

Save 25% on the Simba Hybrid mattress from Simba
£899 £674.25 View Deal

Simba currently has up to 30% off everything, but the deal ends today, so if you're looking to upgrade your sleep set-up, now is a good opportunity. The brand offers a vast range of mattresses, including the Hybrid Ultra, which I have been sleeping on for over three years now. However, if you're looking for a decent mattress under £600, the classic Hybrid is currently available for under £600 for a double.

Although it doesn't have as many layers as the Ultra, it still has a decent five-layer design, combining foam and spring to provide medium comfort and airflow at a regular temperature while you sleep. It has the added bonus of a knitted cover with a zip-off top so you can pop it in the wash.

Google Pixel Watch 3 now its lowest price at Argos
£349 £199 View Deal

Deputy tech editor Henry Burrell has flagged this fantastic deal at Argos, dropping the Google Pixel Watch 3 to its lowest ever price.

Henry said: "If you have an Android phone, I thoroughly recommend the Google Pixel Watch 3, having reviewed it and worn it extensively, and right now it is on sale for £199 at Argos, down considerably from its £349 RRP. Argos says this is the 'lowest price' the retailer has sold the Pixel Watch 3 for.

"The Pixel Watch 3 works with a Google Pixel phone, but also any other modern Android, so even if you have a Samsung, OnePlus, Motorola or any other brand of phone, you’ll be fine - it just doesn’t work with iPhones, unfortunately."

The Pixel Watch 3 blends smart features like notifications, third-party apps (Spotify, AllTrails, and Strava), with Fitbit-branded fitness tracking.

Dunelm brushed cotton duvet cover and pillowcase set now half price
£40 £20 View Deal

The new year is the perfect time for a home decor refresh, and one easy way to do that is by switching out your bedding, so it's great news that Dunelm has some massive discounts on its bedding sets.

One deal that caught my eye is the half-price discount on these Dorma duvet covers and pillowcase sets. The bedding comes in four different sizes, ranging from single to super king-size, and prices range from £15 (down from £30) to £30 (down from £60).

You can also opt for a choice of colours, ranging from a versatile and clean white shade to creamy ivory, olive green, navy, red, and pale blue.

The bedding is made of 100% brushed cotton and has a 120-thread count.

Ninja Foodi Max dual-zone air fryer under £200
£229.99 £179.99 View Deal

Ninja isn't technically advertising its current discounts as a January sale, but that doesn't mean there aren't savings to be had. One of the best deals I've spotted is on the best-selling Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone air fryer, currently discounted by £50.

The air fryer has two drawers, allowing you to cook two different foods simultaneously, and a 'sync' function that ensures all food finishes cooking at the same time.

Oura Ring at its lowest sale price but not for long
£349 £249 View Deal

Today is the last chance to snap up the Oura Ring at its lowest ever sale price as part of the brand's end-of-year discounts.

Both the metal and ceramic versions of the smart ring are on sale, with the perennially popular silver ring just £249, £100 off its £349 RRP.

"One thing to remember is that to get the most out of the Oura Ring 4, you also have to commit to a £5.99 per month subscription fee," said deputy tech editor Henry.  "This unlocks all the features, tools and insights within the Oura app for iPhone and Android."

In the sale that ends today, you can also opt for a brushed titanium ring for £299 (usually £399) or the gold or rose gold hues for £349 (the steepest discount with £150 off the usual £499 price).

Buy the No7 The Ultimate Skincare Collection Gift Set from Boots
£85 £42.50 View Deal

The Big Boots sale has kicked off, and if you want to stock up on skincare for the new year, this No7 skincare set is pretty fabulous.

The Ultimate Skincare Collection Gift Set is usually £85 but has been discounted to half price at £42.50. It includes a range of the brand's top-selling skincare favourites, including a day and night cream, eye cream and cleanser. In reviews, shoppers have described the set as "excellent value for money" and "a staple product to buy at this time of year".

Monica Vinader Solitaire Diamond Cuff now half price
£298 £119.20 View Deal

If you're a royal fan, you might have spotted Monica Vinader jewellery on the likes of Princess Kate and Meghan Markle. For January, the brand has up to 60% off necklaces, earrings, bracelets and more.

One of the biggest savings is on the Solitaire Diamond Cuff, which has £178.80 off. The sleek gold bangle makes a pretty statement without being garish, and is crafted from 18k gold with a pretty sparkling diamond.

Shark PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner now £200 cheaper
£429.99 £299 View Deal

The Shark Shark PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner claims to detect what type of flooring it's working on (for example, carpet or hard floors) and optimise its performance to better pick up dirt and debris. It also has an anti-hair wrap brush roll, which is designed to prevent hair from getting tangled as you vacuum. That means it's particularly handy for homes with pets.

It comes with a selection of heads to make sure you can vacuum on a variety of surfaces and in small crevices, plus it has a run time of up to 70 minutes.

M&S slashes smart winter coat to half price
£70 £35 View Deal

Marks and Spencer has kicked off its mammoth winter sale online with up to 50% off. There are various fashion discounts (as well as homeware and accessories), but one of my top picks is on this twill single-breasted winter coat.

If you're after something smart that will provide a little extra warmth this season, it's a great option for dressing up and down. And with a half-price discount, it's one not to miss.

Shoppers have even said they think it looks "more expensive" than it is.

Habitat slashes Le Creuset lookalike to under £30
£45 £29.99 View Deal

Habitat's 5.3-litre casserole pot caught my eye earlier this year because of how similar it looks to a high-end alternative from Le Creuset. The navy pot usually sells for £49.99, but right now, it's discounted to just £29.99. When you compare it to Le Creuset’s £339 version of the same size, you're looking at a £309 saving.

One reviewer who bought the Habitat pot wrote: "I have had my eye on the much more expensive brand version of this item, and I was super shocked to find the exact same item with a different label for a tenth of the price. Very high-quality item."

When did the January sales start in 2025?

Most January sales actually kicked off on Boxing Day, December 26, 2025.

However, many brands began offering deals and promotions ahead of the main sales event.

While Black Friday tends to be a bigger shopping event, January sales can offer just as good discounts, and it’s arguably a bit less frantic than the November sale.

How long will the January sales last?

As the name suggests, January sales usually last through until the end of the month. That said, they traditionally kick off the day after Christmas and are a great way for retailers to clear out old stock to make way for new arrivals.

So, it means even more time to snap up savings. But, as is the case with most deals and sales, the best offers are likely to go the fastest. So, if you spot a deal you think is worthwhile, you might be better off shopping sooner rather than later.
