A survey by Drinkaware found men admitted to drinking six drinks on Christmas Day or around 14 unites of alcohol.
Women have around four and a half drinks on average.
Men and women are advised not to have more than 14 units in one week, never mind one day.
Fourteen units is equivalent to six beers, which is equivalent to 14 shots.
Aldi updated its Christmas shopping news in a letter to customers.
Aldi CEO Giles Hurley said: Over the next few weeks our Christmas products will continue to arrive, and we may even get a visit from everyone’s favourite Carrot!
"I hope that you, your friends and family are keeping safe and well, and we look forward to seeing you at Aldi over the coming weeks."
