Eat Out to Help Out September: Which restaurants have extended the scheme? Full list
EAT OUT TO HELP OUT is coming to an end - but some restaurants are continuing to give 50 percent off to diners who eat in. Which restaurants have extended the discount?
Eat Out to Help Out: Diners discuss success of the scheme
More than 64 million meals have been claimed since the scheme was introduced to help the flagging hospitality industry during the coronavirus pandemic. Restaurants, bars and pubs were forced to close for lockdown, only being allowed to reopen again properly in July.
Diners have enjoyed a state-funded 50 percent discount on food and soft drinks on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in August, up to a maximum of £10 per person.
The scheme has been used some 60 million times so far, and restaurants are gearing up for a full day tomorrow as the scheme draws to a close.
However, even though the chancellor has not extended the scheme, many resultants have decided to continue giving diners the same benefits even without the Government backing.
Some of the following places will be running the scheme until a certain date or in a slightly different capacity to the normal Government scheme. Check with the restaurant before dining:
