Toddlers to get free flu sprays
CHILDREN aged two are to be given free nasal spray flu vaccinations from this autumn.
The programme, which will involve 650,000 toddlers, had previously been announced but is being brought forward.
All youngsters up to 18 will be offered the spray from 2015. Children are among those least prone to develop flu complications but they are likely to transmit the virus.
The mass immunisation plan, to be announced today, will lead to an estimated 2,000 fewer deaths every year. People over 70 are also to be offered free shingles jabs.
