The penises of British men are nine percent bigger on average, according to a new study.

Experts suggest that Ozempic could be behind the stark rise that has reportedly seen the average penis increase by 0.46 inches to 5.63 inches when erect.

This represents an 8.9 percent rise between 2022 and 2024 for average penis size and puts the UK 8th in the world for growth.

But the data shows that the men of Britain still have a lot of catching up to do, ranking only 60th in the league table of the world's longest penises.

Sudan came out on top in the overall leaderboard, with men reportedly boasting manhood of seven inches on average.

This is up from 6.48 inches back in 2022.

Venezuelans have made the biggest gains downstairs, with the average penis size jumping 1.42 inches to 6.67 inches.

The last two years haven't been so kind to the Italians, who saw their todgers shrink by a fifth to just under five inches.

The data was collected by online pharmacy NowPatient using sources collated from various studies.

Naturally, a caveat for the data is that some men may have slightly inflated the size of their assets when taking part in the study because the sizes were all self-reported.

Dr Richard Viney, a consultant urological surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, gave his thoughts on the number of possible reasons why men's penises are growing in size.

Factors such as the differing ages of the participants may have played a role.

Dr Viney said: "Men’s penises shorten as they get older (due to) increasing body fat and increasing prostate size drawing the penis back into the body."

The expert added, however, that Ozempic could also be playing a role.

He said: "It’s possible there may be an Ozempic effect. As men lose weight, their penises appear larger."

Navin Khosla, NowPatient pharmacist, said while the data is '"interesting" penis size doesn't matter in a medical sense.

He said: "Just like how some people prefer different fashion styles, eye colours, or characteristics in a partner, some people are more attracted to larger penises or breasts, while others prefer smaller ones."
